Celle: Tour The City Of Ancestral Homes

Celle is a little town situated at the Lower Saxony of Germany. It is a historic town with all ancestral homes on display. Queen Elizabeth II had visited this small city. You too can experience the beauty that this city has to offer. I came across so many so many things that you can do and see. Take a look at some things you can do when you are visiting Celle.

Visit Celle Castle

This castle is also known by the name Schloss Celle. It had one of the homes to House of Brunswick-L√ľneburg. It was actually a historic ducal state in the Middle Ages. I came to know that this is the largest castle that you will find in the Luneburg Heath region. The castle looks over the River Aller. At present, it is a historical landmark. I was mesmerized by the architecture of the interior. It has been developed using baroque tradition. What took me surprised was that it also has its own theatre.

Drop in at Bomann Museum

Just opposite the Celle Castle is the Bomann Museum. It had been established by Wilhelm Bomann. The museum is known to showcase the history of Niedersachsen from the 19th century. There is a middle-class house, living quarters, and a farmhouse. The locals describe it as the Fatherland Museum.

Take a walk around French Garden

This is the public area of the old town. This had been designed by the French Gardeners as the baroque courtyard in the 18th century. Get away from the hustle bustle of the city to take a walk around this town. There are a flower garden and fountain. If you have been longing for serenity and solace for a long time like me then you should definitely visit this garden.
